Vision

The Benaras Deaf & Dumb School Association envisions itself evolving into a leading centre for higher learning within the next four years. Our goal is to establish a fully-equipped Centre for Skill Development, tailored to meet the demands of the contemporary market, while honouring the unique cultural character of Varanasi as one of India’s premier tourist destinations.

Empowering the Deaf: Our Approach and Impact

At the Benaras Deaf & Dumb School Association, we empower deaf individuals to actively engage in society. Through education and skill development, we equip them with the tools and confidence to pursue higher education, secure employment, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. We recognise society's tendency to marginalise deaf individuals, and our mission is to challenge this status quo. Through our efforts, we aim to dismantle stereotypes and redefine perceptions of deafness, showcasing the diverse talents and capabilities of our students. By fostering inclusion and challenging stereotypes, we strive to create a world where every voice is valued and heard, regardless of hearing ability.

At the Bimal Chandra Ghosh School for Deaf, we pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive educational experience tailored specifically for hearing impaired children. Our school provides education up to Class X, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to access quality learning in a supportive environment.

Our team consists of skilled and professionally trained teaching staff who are committed to the holistic development of our students. In addition to our teaching staff, we have dedicated office personnel to ensure smooth operations and support for both students and staff members.

In addition to traditional academic subjects, our school offers specialised classes in tailoring, sewing, knitting, embroidery, and computer skills. These classes are designed to equip our students with practical skills that enhance their employability and empower them to contribute meaningfully to society.

Our school building boasts 14 classrooms, an auditorium, a principal’s office, a teacher’s room, a school office, and a store. We also provide separate bathroom facilities for boys and girls, ensuring the comfort and safety of all our students.
